The Kawartha Carving Competition has secured sponsorship for three Purchase Awards for the 2024 show. The Purchase Award Competition encourages carvers to go head-to-head on a category and subject specified by a sponsor. Ribbons and cash prizes are awarded to the top three carvers. The winning carving is presented to the Award Sponsor.
1. Hairy Woodpecker
Life size male Hairy Woodpecker mounted in a suitable habitat.
Prizes: 1st Place – $500 2nd Place – $100 3rd Place – $50

2. Golfer Caricature
Any golfer pose not exceeding 15 inches on suitable mount
Prizes: 1st Place – $500 2nd Place – $100 3rd Place – $50
