Message From the Chairs

As always, carvers and their clubs stepped up to make our 2018 show another success. While our entry numbers were down a little from last year, this didnít dampen the enthusiasm. Congratulations to all winners.

We had a very special memorial display of Bob Gillís masterful artwork. Bob, a longtime member of the Buckhorn Carving Club, passed away in February, 2018. Carvers and visitors alike enjoyed the tribute. See photos at right and below.

Thank you to the many volunteers who helped to make this year such a success. Thank you, as well, to the Judges (Bruce Lepper, Mike Bigger, Tom Gallagher and Mark Sheridan) for always doing such a superb job.

A notable change for next year is the introduction of a Stylized category with two components, a Stylized Bird category and a Stylized General.

If you as a club, vender or supplier of carving equipment would like to reserve a table for next year, simply click on the link to the left for a printable table application form and return it to us along with the fee no later than July 15, 2019. Tables will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. Fees are listed on the form. New this year is in lieu of a table fee, clubs are asked to donate an item of $25.00 or more that can be included on our Silent Auction table.

While we did not have a Purchase Award this year, we hope to find a sponsor for 2019. Please watch this website for details.

We look forward to seeing you on September 14, 2019.
